The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has urged prospective corps members awaiting their call-up letters to stay safe, emphasizing that only those who are alive can serve.
The scheme responded to a prospective corps members on their official social media page who asked for an update regarding the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Camp exercise.
A prospective corps member, identified as Shai Abu Raham, wrote: “Admin, please can you post an update regarding Batch B Stream II camp exercise and when it is going to open? What is our status as PCMs?”
Another curious PCM, Eze Ogbonna Levi, wrote: “NYSC should give PCMs an update on the call-up letter for Batch B Stream II. It’s unfair to keep people in the dark for so long.”
In response, NYSC stated: “When the situation across the country is calm, necessary information regarding the forthcoming Batch C Orientation Course will be made public. All PCMs are enjoined to stay safe. It’s only the living that serve.”
Nigeria is currently experiencing the EndBadGovernance protest, which has disrupted government and non-governmental organizations as well as business activities across the country.
