2024 B-2: Inter-Platoon dance, drama competition begin in Osun camp

The National Youth Service Corps Osun State has kicked off its inter-platoon dance and drama competition for the 2024 Batch B Stream II Orientation at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede on Monday.

The competition is geared towards showcasing the diversity and richness of the Nigerian culture and also, towards exposing the Corps Members to other cultures other than their culture thereby breeding appreciation and respect for cultures other than theirs.

Corps Members performed with enthusiasm, adhering to the Chief Judge’s emphasis on stage management, creativity, time management, and uniformity. Platoon 1 opened with a stunning display of Edo culture, followed by a drama promoting inter-tribal unity.

Platoon 3 captivated the audience with a vibrant Yoruba dance that celebrated the Osun festival, offering a colorful depiction of this significant cultural event.

The day concluded with Platoon 10’s drama on inter-tribal unity, reinforcing the NYSC’s mission of fostering harmony among Nigeria’s diverse cultures. As the competition continues, the anticipation for the winning platoon grows.
