The State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps in Ondo State, Mr. Sam Amaramiro Pepple has informed the corps members that the management of the Scheme will continue to acknowledge and reward disciplined and obedience corps participants.
The State Coordinator volunteered the information during the Morning Meditation when he rewarded the Best Well Dressed Corps Member, Amarikwa, Jude Chinaza, code number OD/24B/2026 for week 1 of the ongoing orientation course exercise.
Pepple, who reiterated the stand of the NYSC dress code, declared that any recalcitrant corps member will not only be sanctioned on camp but will be in the black book of the Scheme.
He praised the recipient of the award for standing out among the multitude and implored him to be an ambassador that will embark on sensitisation to educate fellow corps members to dress well at all times.
Amarikwa, the proud winner of the award, who is a graduate of Geography and Environmental Management from the Imo State University praised the management for instituting such a competitive award, and promised to embark on an aggressive campaign against indecent dressing among corps members in the state.
Earlier, the Camp Director, Mrs. Martha Ihenyen, while presenting the corps member, admonished all corps members to adhere strictly to all rules and regulations of the Scheme designed to make service enjoyable for them.
She reminded them of the promise they made at the commencement of the orientation course when they signed an undertaking where they pledged to stick to the rules and regulations of the National Service and not to deface the khaki uniform for whatever reason.
