2024 B-2: One year service should be a period to make Nigeria proud – NYSC Director

 

The Director of Legal Services, NYSC National Directorate Headquarters Abuja, Barrister Chris Ogar, has called on the 2024 Batch B, Stream two, Corps Members deployed to Benue state to see the One year National Service as a period of making the Nation proud.
The Director, made the call today while addressing the youths during his oversight Orientation tour at the NYSC Permanent Camp, Wannune, Tarka Local Government of the State.

He charged the Corps Members to be serious with every Camp programme as well as attend all lectures; reiterating that each segment of the NYSC Cardinal programmes are prerequisite to qualifying for the award of Certificate of National Service (CNS).

“Be law abiding, follow Camp rules and regulations. I don’t want to see any act of insubordination amongst you. Let me see in you, what the State Coordinator says about your discipline “.

He further advised them to stay out of Crimes, Cyber Crimes and other social vices; while encouraging them to try and be exemplary Corps Members.

The Director, admonished them to avoid traveling without permission, night journeys and above all,board vehicles at designated Motor Parks.

Commenting on the NYSC-NHIA GIFSHIP N, he implored the Corps Members to explore the opportunities offered by the programme to access, free and affordable Health Care services during their national service.

“Take NYSC SAED serious, don’t take your time on frivolous discussions. White colar jobs are not readily available, learn a skill.”He added.
Barrister Ogar, equally enjoined them to maintain the habit of good look and proper dressing in the NYSC uniforms as stipulated in the Bylaws.

Earlier, in her brief reports on Camp Situation, the State Coordinator, Mrs Garba Veronica informed the Director that, she has received the best set of Corps Members since commencement of Orientation Course.

According to her, they have adopted so easily to the Camp environment and are well disciplined and obedience to rules and regulations.

She further commended the Camp Officials for their high level of industry, zeal and dedication in the course of the Orientation exercise.
