The 2024 Batch B Stream II Orientation Course officially commenced today at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Ede, Osun State, as prospective corps members (PCMs) arrived in their numbers to begin the three-week program.

From the early hours of the day, the camp was abuzz with activity as PCMs were seen trooping into the camp with excitement and anticipation. The camp officials, fully prepared for the commencement, were at their duty posts attending to the PCMs ensuring a smooth registration process despite some network challenges. The SERVICOM and Reception Committee warmly welcomed the PCMs, offering them light refreshments to ease their fatigue.

The NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr. Agbor Ndoma Obim, expressed gratitude to God for the safe arrival of the PCMs at the various orientation camps across the country. He extended a warm welcome to the PCMs, assuring them that the camp community would serve as a “home away from home” for the duration of their stay. Mr. Obim emphasized that all camp officials would stand in loco parentis, acting as parental figures to the corps members throughout the orientation.

Mr. Obim wished the PCMs a hitch-free Orientation Course, encouraging them to make the most of the opportunities presented during this crucial phase of their service year. The three-week orientation course is designed to equip them with necessary skills, knowledge, and values to excel in their service year.
