Kwara Gov. Abdulrahman Assures Corps Members Of Safety

The Kwara State Governor, His Excellency, governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has assured the Corps Members of maximum security in the course of the service in the state.

The governor Abdulrahman speaking through the Commissioner of Youth Development, Hon. Shehu Ndanusa Usman during the swearing in ceremony of the 2024 Batch B Stream 2 Corps Members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Yikpata affirmed the readiness of the state to cater and secure the life and property of the corps members.

According to him “ I assure you the readiness of the government to offer you the necessary support and assistance. Your welfare and security shall remain our utmost priority”

The governor also stated that the federal government has invested so much to prepare them for the national service, therefore urged them to take the orientation seriously in other to be equipped with needed understanding that would help them in contributing their own quota to the development of kwara state and the country.

In like manner, the State coordinator of the scheme in the state, Mr. Onifade Olaoluwa charged the corps members to comport themselves in a disciplined and orderly manner, adding that no form of unruly behaviour would be tolerated in the course of the orientation exercise.

The NYSC helmsman also appreciated the state government for the renovation of hostels and sewages on going in the camp. This act according to him “has further buttressed government position on the welfare of the corps members”

He, however, disclosed the bad condition of the scheme ambulance, noting that the scheme has been surviving on grace considering the level of unexpected cases of emergency that usually occur during the orientation. He therefore pleaded for ambulance embedded with life saving apparatus for the scheme.
