NYSC Director commends corps members for imbibing spirit of cultural integration in Taraba

The 2024 Batch B Stream II Corps Members deployed to Taraba State have been enjoined to begin now to think, strategize, and put into action what they will do in their life as they would in no distance time commence the primary assignment and other programs in the State.

The Director, of North East Area Office (II), Hajia Aishatu Abubakar Adamu disclosed this when visited the permanent orientation camp Sibre as part of her orientation tour to some of the camps in the Nation.

Speaking during the visit, she commended the members of the camp for smartly imbibing the spirit of social integration as buttressed by the performance of the cultural troupe that entertained her during the visit, stating further that this move is in the realization of one of the founding objectives of the National Youth Service Corps scheme.

Hajia Adamu equally counseled the members to accept their posting in good faith and relocation in good faith, maintaining that they should accept whatever and wherever God has in stock for them as divine and in their best interest.

She also tasked those who would be posted to the primary and secondary schools in the state not to despair at all but should rise up, make painstaking efforts, and impart knowledge to the young and energetic youths in the schools.

The pioneer Director of the North East Area Office 11 also advised the members to utilize the ongoing Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) training ( in camp and post-camp) to acquire a relevant skill, develop the said skill, create jobs and wealth and contribute to the Gross Domestic Product ( GDP) of the Nation.

Other issues she shared with the members were the need, objectives, and importance of the Community Development Programme to the corps member, the host community, and the Nation at large, the need to adhere strictly to the channel of communication, the meaning of respect as well as the need for them to always be at their best as ambassadors of their various families, schools and the scheme.
