We’re monitoring you closely – NYSC informs corps members

The 2024 Batch B Stream 2 Corps Members undergoing orientation at the Imo Camp have been informed that the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Management will closely monitor their activities throughout their Service year .

According to Assistant Director, Corps Inspection and Monitoring, Mr. Daniel Chukwuemeka Edeh, the Management will ensure Corps Members serve in accordance with policy guidelines through regular monitoring by Zonal Inspectors and Local Government Inspectors. This monitoring will commence immediately after the three-week orientation course.

Corps Members are expected to adhere to specific guidelines after being posted to their Places of Primary Assignment. They must get properly documented by Local Government Inspectors, conduct monthly biometrics, and apply for applications through the proper channels.

Travel restrictions were also emphasized, with Corps Members being reminded that there are no holidays during the Service year. Any travel must be approved by the State Coordinator, through the Zonal Inspector, Local Government Inspector, and employer.

Finally, Corps Members were advised to view their Local Government Inspectors as guardians who will oversee their welfare and provide counsel throughout their Service year. This guidance is intended to support Corps Members in fulfilling their service obligations successfully.
