Render Selfless Service To Your Host Communities – Gov Sure Tells Corps Members

The 2024 Batch B Stream II Corps members deployed to Nasarawa State have been enjoined to render selfless service, to be disciplined and morally bound to their host communities in the course of their service year.

This was contained in the address delivered by the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Batch B Stream II Orientation Course at the Magaji Dan Yamusa NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Keffi on Tuesday 17th September, 2024.

Represented at the Closing Ceremony by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Barrister Isaac Danladi, Engr. Sule assured corps members that Nasarawa State is an ideal place to live and work. He equally admonished Corps members to keenly explore the possibilities of fulfilling the hopes of all who have invested in them for a better future.

“Play your role in nation-building effectively, without bitterness or rancour. I urge you to exhibit the same spirit of discipline as you participate actively in the other three cardinal programmes of the Scheme. See your posting as a clarion call to render selfless service to the good people of Nasarawa State.”

Earlier, while wishing the Corps members a fruitful service year, the Nasarawa State Coordinator, Mrs. Salamatu A. Muhammad, urged Corps members to settle down quickly and contribute meaningfully to the people of their host communities. She warned them against frivolous journeys and inappropriate behaviour during the service year.
