Your Resilience, Cooperation Is High Commendable– NYSC Kaduna SC Lauds Corps Members

 

The NYSC Kaduna State Coordinator, Mr. Hassan Mahmud Taura praised the Corps members for their resilience and cooperation during the 2024 Batch B Stream II Orientation Course. He made this remark during the debriefing session at the NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp, Government College Kaduna.

Mr. Taura highlighted the significance of the Orientation Course as the first phase of the NYSC Cardinal Programme, which prepares them for the other three Cardinal Programmes. He informed the Corps members that after their posting to Places of Primary Assignment (PPA), they would be expected to actively participate in the Community Development Service (CDS), where they are tasked with identifying and addressing the felt-needs of their host communities through meaningful projects.

The State Coordinator encouraged the Corps members to maintain the discipline and resilience that they displayed during the Orientation Course. He further urged them to respect the customs, traditions, and culture of their host communities. He admonished them to honour the NYSC uniform and wear it decently and with pride.

He assured the Corps members that NYSC has their wellbeing at heart and will cover their medical expenses throughout their service year through partnership with National Health Insurance Agency (NHIA).

The session was concluded with the introduction of NYSC field officers; the Zonal and Local Government Inspectors, who will support the Corps members throughout their service year.
