Breaking: NYSC Ondo gets new State coordinator

 

The new NYSC Ondo State Coordinator, Alhaja Kuburat Bakare has disclosed that her mission in Ondo State is to build on the successes of her predecessors and operate all-inclusive administration.

The State Coordinator, who is taking up the mantle of leadership in the Sunshine State as the 22nd Chief Executive Officer declared that all should do away with divisible tendencies but rather work assiduously to promote unity and healthy working relationships.

Bakare, while taking over from her predecessor, Mr. Samuel Amaramiro Pepple, who has been reassigned to Akwa Ibom said that the Secretariat is in the league of those that have received national recognition based on the quality service delivery NYSC Ondo State is known for over the years.

While confessing the challenging tasks that has been entrusted to her before the management staff, Bakare was optimistic that the personalities and calibres of the workforce gave her joy that she will succeed just like her predecessors.

“My distinguished colleagues, my appointment as State Coordinator and subsequent posting to Ondo State is to come and work with the winning team who have positive attitude and mentality towards achieving common goals, and I want to give you my words today that no one will be oppressed under my watch” she promised.

“However, it is incumbent on me to let you know that service delivery to our primary and principal stakeholder, the corps members must be topnotch and in line with the best practices, and I want to strongly advise that we should all play the game of mentoring and moulding the graduate youths according to the dictates of the Public Service Rule and NYSC composite document” she asserted.

The eighth female Chief Executive Officer of the Scheme in the Sunshine State said that she would prioritise the security and welfare of the members of the service corps and ensure that staff accorded attention as and when due.

The erstwhile State Coordinator, Mr. Samuel Amaramiro Pepple thanked the entire workforce for the support he received during his short stint in Ondo State and solicited same for her successor.

Pepple, who expressed his unalloyed gratitude to the State Government under the visionary Governor, His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his love for the Scheme which is evident in his promise to upgrade the facilities and structures at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Ikare-Akoko.

He disclosed that he was leaving behind a dedicated, committed and highly enterprising personnel who knew what to do at all times, saying that the new Coordinator is inheriting experienced, tested and trusted workforce.

Speaking on behalf of the staff, the Assistant Director/Head, Human Resource Management, Mr. Ojo Jonathan Kolawole promised that the staff would give maximum cooperation and unconditional support to the new helmsman to succeed in Ondo State.

Mr. Kolawole paid glowing tribute to the immediate past State Coordinator for hitting the ground running immediately he resumed, and his doggedness translated to the modest achievements recorded during his short but impressive tenure.

The Assistant Director/Head, Human Resource Management wished Mr. Pepple a productive and greater achievements in his new state of assignment.
