Corps Members Shine in Colorful Independence Day Celebration

In a vibrant display of patriotism, corps members serving in Delta State marked Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day with a colorful outing at the Armed Forces Remembrance Arcade in Asaba. The event, attended by Delta State Governor, His Excellency RT. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori, featured an impressive parade, with the corps members taking center stage.

The parade was complemented by a live performance from the NYSC band, whose rhythmic beats and energetic renditions added excitement to the celebration. The corps members, dressed in their signature khaki uniforms, moved in synchronized steps, showcasing their commitment to national unity and service.

Governor Oborevwori, visibly elated during the anniversary, praised the corps members for their discipline and resilience while participating in the national event. He noted that their involvement was a reflection of their dedication to the country’s progress.

The Delta State NYSC Coordinator, Mr. Olusegun Alao, also commended the corps members, encouraging them to continue embodying the ideals of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme. He highlighted the importance of unity and service, urging the corps members to uphold these values throughout their service year.
