It was a mixed feeling in the State Secretariat NYSC Plateau as staff and Corps Members welcomed a new Chief Executive Officer, and State Coordinator Mr J. I. Yavala while emotions trailed as they bid farewell to the out gone State Coordinator, Mrs Ikupolati Esther Tosin.
The handing over ceremony which took place in the State Coordinator’s Office, had heads of Branches and Units in attendance as well as members of staff in the NYSC Secretariat, Miango Road, Jos South LGA of Plateau State.
The State Coordinator, Mr Yavala appreciated his predecessor, for the laudable achievements and impact she made in the state and prayed for grace and wisdom to fill into the legacies she has left behind.
He also sought for cooperation, synergy, progressive advises, teamwork as well as camaraderie in all works and assignments as he fullfil the mandate of the Scheme as bestowed on him by the Director General.
In her welcome address, Mrs Ikupolati Esther Tosin, stated that for the one year Six months she served in the state, it has been favours and breakthroughs, she wished her successor greater achievements.
She further called on the management and staff to accord the State Coordinator, the maximum cooperation and desired support to move the Scheme in the state to enviable heights.
Speaking on behalf of the Management Team and staff, the outgoing Deputy Director, Head of Human Resources Management Branch, Mr J. J. Mambula showered praises on the outgoing State Coordinator and he pleaded with all staff that the new coordinator be given all the needed support and cooperation.
Highlights of the ceremony was the colourful and beautiful rendition by the NYSC Cultural Troupe as well as group photographs with all staff and well wishers.
