Mrs. Grace Ogbuogebe, Director of the North Central Area Office II Lafia, visited the NYSC Nasarawa State Secretariat, where she was warmly received by corps members and staff. Upon arrival, she inspected the quarter guard and was welcomed with a festive ceremony by the NYSC Band and Cultural group.
Addressing the corps members, Mrs. Ogbuogebe expressed gratitude to God for His mercy, protection and the privilege of life. Representing the NYSC Director General, she delivered a goodwill message, emphasizing the importance of Corps members’ welfare and the priority of their well-being.
Mrs. Ogbuogebe urged corps members to be law-abiding, and to disassociate themselves from negative vices. She further urged them to avoid participating in any form of protests, which the NYSC management strongly discourages. She assured them that management is aware of their needs, and is working to address them.
“We cannot endanger our employment without taking care of you. With the creation of more Area offices, NYSC has gone further in prioritizing your welfare” she said.
Mrs. Ogbuogebe concluded by expressing her passion for mentoring corps members, whom she affectionately refers to as her children. She prayed for God’s protection and preservation and reiterated her love for them.
