Army arrests suspected killer of FUNNAB student kidnapped in Lagos

 

Operatives of the Nigerian Army have arrested one Adeleye Ayomide, as the suspect responsible for the death of Idowu Christiana, a 300-level student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Ogun State.

According to reports late Christiana was kidnapped by suspected abductors along the Ikorodu-Yaba Road, Lagos State, on Monday, August 19, 2024.

It was earlier disclosed that the abductors had initially demanded a ransom of N3 million before they could release the student.

However, the abductors accepted N350,000, after several pleas. But they refuse to free the kidnapped student.

However, in a post on X by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, on Thursday, September 5, he disclosed that “23-year-old Ayomide Adeleye has been handed over to #LagosPoliceNG by 9 Brigade #HQNigerianArmy. The handover took place today, September 5, 2024, at about 1400hrs.
