During her official visit to the NYSC Delta State Orientation Camp in Issele-Uku, Mrs. Ogbuogebe addressed the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Corps Members, urging them to recognize their roles as future leaders and catalysts for transformation.

She also assured the corps members that their welfare and security remain a priority for the NYSC leadership. Mrs. Ogbuogebe highlighted the Director-General’s dedication to improving the well-being and safety of all Corps Members across the country.

In her address, she further emphasized the importance of vigilance, advising the corps Members to prioritize their personal safety by avoiding late-night travel, which has led to unfortunate incidents in the past. Mrs. Ogbuogebe encouraged them to take full advantage of the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program, which equips participants with skills that foster financial independence and self-reliance.

Additionally, she reminded the corps members to strictly adhere to NYSC bylaws, warning that violations would be met with appropriate sanctions. She also urged them to actively engage in Community Development Service (CDS) projects, which would enable them to leave a lasting impact on their host communities. Promoting national unity, she advised corps members to shun ethnic and religious divisions and embrace the spirit of brotherhood. She even encouraged inter-ethnic marriages within the scheme, highlighting their potential to strengthen national unity and foster enduring relationships.

Earlier, the Delta State Coordinator, Mr. Olusegun Alao, warmly welcomed Mrs. Ogbuogebe to the state and praised the corps members for their dedication and commitment to national service in Delta State.

The visit included several key events, such as the inspection of camp facilities, cultural performances, and the presentation of gifts to various committees.
