Benue State Honours 4 Ex-Corps Members (Full List)

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has challenged the 2024 Batch B stream two Corps Members to handsomely give back to their host communities quality and wholesome services as they exit the orientation camp.

He gave the charge, while addressing them at the Close of the Orientation Course exercise at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Wannune,Tarka Local Area of Benue state.

The Governor, reminded the Corps Members that the next face of the service year after orientation is very a crucial and demanding therefore ,”you are expected to give back to the society”

Speaking further Fr.Alia advised them to remain diligent, focused and selfless.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Aber Deborah Serumum, he assured them of their welfare and security in the state, reiterating his assurance of sustaining the payment of fifteen thousand naira monthly and one hundred thousand for Corps Doctors and others.

The Governor added that he would continue to support the scheme at the state level in the area of infrastructural development just like the ongoing drainages been constructed in the orientation camp.

Earlier in her welcome speech, Mrs Veronica Garba, State Coordinator, NYSC Benue, welcomed and appreciated the Government and Good People of the State, under the leadership of His Excellency, Reverend Fr. Hycinth Alia prioritising the welfare and security of Corps Members deployed to the State; through the regular payment of State allowance.
She said the recent approval by the Executive Governor for the ongoing construction of Drainages and road network in the Orientation Camp as well as granting of State Honours Award to Four outstanding 2023 Batch B, Corps Members have positioned His Excellency as one of NYSC friendly Governor in Nigeria.
The Coordinator, further congratulated the 2024 Batch B stream 2 on the successful completion of the Orientation exercise, stressing that they are now better equipped to represent the Scheme in the next phase of their service year which is the Primary assignment.

She equally reminded the Corps Members to be good ambassadors of the NYSC Scheme and their institutions of graduation.

“Stay away from all negative acts that are inimical to the image of the Scheme and your families. “Shun drug abuse and trafficking, cultism and bribery amongst others. Rather, try as much as possible to promote the image of the NYSC by striving toward the development of your host communities through community development services”.

Highlights of the ceremony was presentation of State Honours Award to the outstanding ex corps members:

MR. Udokop, Owoidoho-Abasi Nsima- BN/23B/0385; Mr Kenneth Success Chidiukwu BN/23B/2934 and Miss kolawole Ifeoluwa Grace BN/23B/1860.
