In Lagos State, a total of 6,638 2023 Batch C Stream 1 corps members joined their counterparts nationwide in successfully completing their service year at the passing out exercise, which was held simultaneously across the 23 Local Government Areas of the state.
The SC Lagos Mrs. Christiana Salmwang, who visited Ikeja LGA to monitor the exercise, commended the corps members for their dedication and commitment during their one-year service to the nation. She urged them to leverage the skills they acquired during their service and encouraged them to believe in the country and explore its potentials, especially given the current scarcity of jobs.
Sixty corps members who served in ikeja LGA were retained by their employers for their hard work. Additionally, 4 corps members received certificates of commendation, 37 had their service extended due to offenses, while 31 who absconded will repeat their service whenever they resurface.
