Money rains on corps members in NYSC kwara Orientation Camp

 

The Corpreneurship Competition, a collaborative effort between the NYSC- SAED, Federal Government and Banks to support Corps Members with innovative business ideas, took place at the NYSC Kwara State Camp, Yikpata. The event was sponsored by Unity Bank.

After the welcome address by the State Coordinator, NYSC Kwara State, the competition commenced. Out of 120 business plan proposals received from Corps Members, a panel selected the top 10 finalists with the most promising ideas.

The Unity Bank manager emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship and encouraged the contestants to overcome fear and strive for success. Camp Director, Mrs. Adewuyi Omolabake, also motivated the contestants, believing in their potential to win.

The finalists presented their business plans, including:

– Fumigation and cleaning services
– Printing services
– Cassava flakes processing and exfoliation (garri)
– Bowlers
– Fashion product production
– Unisex hair saloons
– Buying and selling

After a question-and-answer session, the winners were announced:

1. Nwakaeze Euphemia Chinemerew (KW/24B/2541, Platoon 1) – 1st position (N800,000)
2. Omosimua Fidelia Omoh (KW/24B/2383, Platoon 3) – 2nd position (500,000)
3. Wasiu Sodiq Kayode (KW/24B/1954,, Platoon 4) – 3rd position (N350,000)

The program was well-received by participants and the audience, fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation among the Corps Members.
