NEMA to relief materials to parents, guardians

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) North Central Zonal Office in Jos provided relief materials to the parents and guardians of victims from the July 12, 2024, Saints Academy School building collapse in Jos North, Plateau State.

The relief, delivered on September 17, 2024, was aimed at providing support to the affected families.

Representing NEMA’s Director General, the North Central Zonal Coordinator, Mr. Eugene Nyelong, stated that the agency had promptly activated search and rescue operations when the incident occurred.

The relief materials, primarily food items, were distributed to 41 households at the Plateau State Emergency Management Agency’s office. The distribution was attended by various stakeholders, including the Red Cross, Federal Fire Service, and Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps.
