No Culture Is Superior – SC IMO 

Corps Members deployed to Imo State have been encouraged to look out for the uniqueness and beauty of our varying cultures and learn from such cultures since no culture is superior to the other.

 

Addressing the Corps Members at the fun-filled 2024 Batch B Stream ll Inter-Platoon Cultural Carnival competition, the Coordinator NYSC Imo Mrs Rachel Idaewor advised the Corps to appreciate the rich cultures of our great Nation. Saying that our unique cultural heritage binds us together thereby promoting National Unity.

 

Mrs Idaewor, who applauded the level of creativity of the Corps Members adorned in colourful cultural attires, enjoined them to integrate and reverence the cultures of their host communities through their Service year. She

emphasised that no culture is superior.

 

The Inter-Platoon Cultural Carnival had the Corps Members in a splendid performance showcasing cultures of the different tribes of our great Nation

 

The contest had Platoon Seven showcasing the Igbo culture from the South East region emerging winner. The second position was clinched by Platoon One displaying the Ikwerre culture while the third position went to Platoon Nine showcasing Efik culture.

 

The occasion had the presentation of cash gifts to the winners. And refreshments provided by the Management for the Corps Members. Other displays at the occasion includes the Martial Arts/Tug of war, Officials dance, OBS, Kitchen and Red Cross displays.
