Prospective Corps Members of 2024 Batch B Stream II deployed to Rivers State have been told that their mobilization and deployment is to “help build a Nigeria of our dreams.”
The Coordinator NYSC Rivers State, Mr. George Mfongang stated this today when he briefed the Prospective Corps Members.
He reminded them that the opportunity to serve the nation is a rare privilege which must be appreciated and taken “very seriously.”
The Rivers State NYSC Team Lead used the occasion to charge the OCMs to be disciplined in all they and put the nation first while taking camp activities seriously, especially the Skill Acquisition programme, security tips amongst others.
He warned against acts that will be at variance with the noble NYSC values and ideals, stating that such acts can lead to sanctions in accordance with the Scheme’s Bye-Laws and Act.
Concluding, he urged them not engage in unauthorized travels, night journeys, negative use of the social media, cultism, alcoholism and related social misdemeanors.
He instead, charged them to be role models and good ambassadors of their families and institutions of graduation in order to influence the society positively at all times.
The event featured introduction of senior camp officials to the PCMs.
